Charles W. DuLac, 68, Atchison, Kansas died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Atchison Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 A.M. with Abbot Barnabas as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with presentation of the flag under the auspices of the United States Navy Honors team.  A parish rosary will be recited on Friday, August 1st at 6:30 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation with the family to follow at Jerry’s Again Restaurant.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict School Endowment Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.
He was born January 30, 1946, in Onaga, Kansas, the son of Glen and Leona Elder DuLac. He attended elementary school in Onaga and graduated from Onaga High School.
Charles and Darlene M. Sherlock were united in marriage on July 5, 1969, at St. Columbkille Church in Blaine, Kansas.
He was employed with Southwestern Bell as a phone man for 31 years until his retirement in February 2001.
Charles served in the United States Navy from 1965 until his honorable discharge in 1969. Having served on a submarine the U.S.S. Atule stationed in Key West, Florida.
Charles was a member of St. Benedict Parish and a member of Knights of Columbus Council #723.  Fleming-Jackson-Seever Post #6 of the American Legion and the VFW Post #1175. Also a member of Communication Workers of America and the Pioneer’s Club of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
Survivors include his wife Darlene of the couple’s home, two sons, Todd (Jennifer) DuLac, Atchison, KS, Tim (Amy) DuLac, Atchison, KS, two brothers, Keith DuLac, Derby, KS, Greg DuLac, Goddard, KS, two sisters, Mary Alice Ackley, Topeka, KS, Beth Burke, The Colony, TX, a brother-in-law, Gerry Thompson, Berryton, KS, eleven grandchildren, Addie, Nolan, Erin, Malia, Miles, Owen, Allison, Micah, Reece, Devin, Derek and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Rita Darlene Thompson.
