Ross Dean Pettinger, 60 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Ambassador Nursing Home, Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Richard and Evelyn (Mach) Pettinger on July 19, 1954.

Ross was preceded in death by his father, Richard and infant brother Larry.

Ross is survived by his son Casey Pettinger of Emporia, KS, his mother Evelyn Pettinger of Pawnee City, NE, brother, Ronald and wife Susan Pettinger of Eagle, NE, nephews, Brian and wife Saira Pettinger of Lincoln, NE, Bob Pettinger of Millard, NE, uncle, Raymond and wife Katie Pettinger of Burchard, NE, sister Cecelia Worlein of Orgegan, other relatives and friends

Mass of Christian Burial Services will be at  10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burchard, NE. Officiating Father Thomas Dunavan. Rosary will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Burchard, NE. Visitation on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Interment at the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Memorials in lieu of flowers to the American Liver Foundation or National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado.
