Dean Palmer, age 90, of Falls City, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014.

He was born July 6, 1924, to Perry and Emma (Smith) Palmer, northeast of Barada. Dean was raised in the Barada area, graduating from Shubert High School in 1941. He married Caroline Sailors on August 15, 1985.

Funeral service for Dean Palmer will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, at the Dorr and Clark Funeral Home in Falls City. Interment will be at the Harris Cemetery, with military graveside honors provided by the Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. Friday at the Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

Dean is survived by his wife, Caroline, of Falls City; step-children, Doug (Margie) Sailors and Diane McCann, of Falls City; step-daughter-in-law, Cindy Sailors of Falls City; step-grandchildren, Valerie (Blake) Buckminster, Kimberly (Ryan) Nolte, Kellie (Art) Dean, and Kristi Reiss, all of Falls City, and Scott (Emily) Sailors of Humboldt, NE; and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
