Bonnie J. Wagner, 66, Atchison, Kansas died peacefully Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Atchison Hospital.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Lucas officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 2nd from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to American Liver Foundation and these may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Bonnie was born September 26, 1948 in Craig, Missouri the daughter of John F. and Helen Sloniker Dougherty.  She attended school in Mound City, Missouri graduating from Mound City High School.  She then attended St. Benedict’s College (now Benedictine College).

She and Daniel L. Wagner were united in marriage on July 8, 1967 in Steinauer, Nebraska.

Bonnie had been employed with Sears, Modern Beauty Salon and Academy of Mt. Scholastica Residence Center, Wal-Mart, and Atchison Products all of Atchison, Kansas and Missouri Western State University in the continuing education department in St. Joseph, Missouri.

She was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church and has served as a choir member, AWANA Commander and formerly as church secretary.

In her spare time she enjoyed scrapbooking and cardmaking, cross-stitch, watching KU basketball games on television, spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren’s sports and school events.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Wagner of the couple’s home in Atchison, a son, Christopher (Christina) Wagner, Atchison, KS, a daughter, Daneen (Jeremy) Vaughan, Gardner, KS, two brothers, Timothy (Kathy) Dougherty, Platte City, MO, Danny (Janice) Dougherty, Platte City, MO, a sister, Johnna Sue Zachary, Chillicothe, MO and five grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David Paul Dougherty and a sister, Joan Elaine Dougherty.
