Gloria Nightingale, 83, of Centralia, formerly of Wichita, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Midland Hospice in Topeka.

Gloria was born August 23, 1931, in Cleburne, KS, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Hula) Hanzlik.  She attended Windy Ridge Country School and graduated from Centralia High School in 1948.  Gloria was united in marriage to Rex Nightingale of Centralia at Ft. Scott, KS on February 11, 1950.

She was an active member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 180, Women of the Moose, Marysville and the American Legion Auxiliary, Seneca.  Her hobbies included bowling over 50 years; and golfing, hitting her first Hole-in-One in 2010.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rex and two brothers, Donald Hanzlik and Wm. LeRoy Hanzlik.  Survivors include two daughters, Judy Clouse and husband, Jim, of Silver Lake, and Karen Lollman and husband, Bill of Topeka; Grandchildren: Jason (Amy) Allen, Kansas City, MO, Dara Clouse (Joel Fairfield), Topeka, Scott Lollman (Susan Evans), Lawrence, Chris Lollman, Topeka; Great-grandchildren: Aiden and Piper Allen, her companion of 11 years, Max Smith, Wichita, and Sister-in-Law, Maxine Nightingale, Ft. Scott, a niece, two nephews, great nieces and nephews, and three great-great nieces. 

Services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Centralia Community Church.  The family will greet friends Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Seneca.  Interment will be in the Centralia Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to Centralia Alumni Association or Eastridge Care Home, Centralia, sent in care of the funeral home, 814 Castle, Seneca, KS 66538.  Online condolences can be left for the family at
