Robert J. “Bob” Domann died Monday May 15, 2017 at the Piper Assisted Living Home in Kansas City, Kansas.

Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Corpus Christi Church at Mooney Creek with Rev. Lazar Carafala as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mooney Creek Cemetery. A parish and Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to Mooney Creek Parish or Maur Hill- Mt Academy School and may be left in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Bob was born on the family farm at Mooney Creek, April 6, 1939, the youngest child of Ben and Genevieve Cunningham Domann. He attended grade school at Mooney Creek and was a 1959 graduate of Maur Hill Prep School in Atchison. He attended St. Benedict’s College for two years.

After being drafted into the U. S. Army, he spent the next two years in the service, mostly in occupied Germany. After his Army discharge he returned home and took over the Domann Oil Company, a service station on the family farm established by his parent’s in 1941. For over fifty years, he served a large area of faithful customers with fuel and many other automotive and farm related items. Because of his health, the business was closed in July of 2014.

Bob was a very generous person who would help anyone, anytime whatever the problems might be. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

He was a lifelong member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church at Mooney Creek. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include two brothers, Charles Domann, Atchison, KS, Leslie Domann, Winchester, KS, and fifteen nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
