William Frank Hill, 88, of Holton, KS passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home. He was born January 11, 1929 in Holton, KS the son of Thomas Logan and Ruth Elizabeth (Arnold) Hill.

William was a life-long member of the Holton farming community. He attended Bateman Grade School and graduated from Holton High School in 1946. William was a farmer and stockman. He was a member and also served on the board of directors for Farm Bureau, Jackson County Livestock, Extension Service, Soil Conservation Service, RC & D, Delaware River WRAPS and Holton Cemetery. William was a lifetime member of First Christian Church in Holton and was also a member of Holton AF&AM #42 Masonic Lodge and Odd Fellows.

He married Sophie Louise Meyer on February 13, 1955 at Manhattan, KS. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2007.

Survivors include his children, Margaret Pagel (Henry) of Holton, KS, John Hill (Tammy) of Holton, KS, Henry Hill (Tracy) of Holton, KS and Kay Rash (Mike) of Circleville, KS; a sister, Ruth Anne Irick of Holton, KS; 10 grandchildren, Will Pagel (Dora), Jenny Pagel-Guile (Greg), Melissa Tanking (Jason), Matt Pagel (Kelsey), Brandon Hill (Rachel), Cody Hill (Dana), Christa Hill, William Hill, Jason Rash (Rebecca) and Trent Rash (Susan) and 9 great-grandchildren, Maurico Pagel, Samuel Pagel, Greyson Guile, Granger Guile, Sawyer Tanking, Lorelei Tanking, Ryan Hill, Jaxon Hill and Nathan Rash.

Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery.
