Dale A. Dettman, age 88 of Auburn, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn.

Survivors include his wife Naomi “Jinx” of Auburn; sons and daughter-in-law Jeff and Laura of Monroe, NC and Greg of Shubert; grandchildren Nicholas of Monroe, NC and Kelsey of Hickory, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law Doris Jean and Wayne Shafer of Stella; Norma Schutte of Lincoln; Mildred Buethe of Plattsmouth; Marlys and Scott DeVries of Lake City, IA; brothers and sister-in-law Wayne Dettman of Bern, KS; Weldon and Sharon Dettman of Humboldt; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, July 19, 10:30 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn.  Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Auburn Fire & Rescue or family choice.
