Allen Dean Wichman, 66, of Topeka, KS formerly of Holton, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Promise Hospital in Overland Park, KS; as a result of injuries sustained from a home invasion. He was born May 19, 1951 in Clay Center, KS, the son of Ernest F. and Patricia F. (Pickett) Wichman.

Allen graduated from Holton High School and Kaw Area Vocational Technical School in 1969. He was an automotive body repairman and mechanic for many garages, including Vic Simon’s in Holton and First Class Auto Glass in Topeka. He had owned and operated Champion Auto Glass in Topeka for a few years. He also worked as a roofer for many construction companies.

Survivors include a son, Vance Spiker (Caramie) of Lyndon, KS; 2 sisters, Carol Searles (Rob Rolin) of Denison, KS and Amy Spiker (Jared) of Holton, KS; 2 brothers, Verlin Wichman (Sue) of Holton, KS and Kevin Wichman (Sandy) of Circleville, KS; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Wichman of Holton, KS and 2 grandchildren, Kylie and Andrew.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Gregory Allen Wichman, his father, Ernest F. Wichman in 1996, his mother, Patricia F. Wichman in 2017 and a brother, Dale Wichman in 2016.         

 Family will greet friends from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, with Blair Wagner to speak at the start of visitation. Cremation will follow visitation.
