Brenda Irene Graner (Pearson), 76, of Holton, KS passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Vintage Park in Holton.

She was born April 24, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of George Pearson and Estella (Myers) Pearson. She grew up in Milford, P.A. and graduated from Delaware Valley Joint High School in 1959.

She married Gilbert “Gibby” Graner, Sr. on March 27, 1964 in Mine Hill, N.J. They resided in Rockaway, N.J. and were married for 31 years, until his death on February 17, 1996. She retired from the Stephen Gould Corporation in Whippany, N.J. in 2012 and moved to Kansas.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Gertrude “Snookie” Theresa (Pearson) Seese of South Hempstead, N.Y. in 1988.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Lee Pahmahmie (Alan “Boney”) of Mayetta, KS; a son, Gilbert “Gibby” Graner, Jr. (Kim) of Oak Ridge, N.J. and a sister, Annette Berg of Bronx, N.Y. Brenda is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Brandon Fink (Shalenia) of Port Jervis, N.Y., Vanessa Joslin (Ben) of Holton, KS, Brittney Stithem (Doug) of Hoyt, KS, Sierra Pahmahmie (Marcus Frye) and Sage Pahmahmie both of Mayetta, KS; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous other family member.

Brenda will lie in state Tuesday afternoon, July 25, 2017. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. She will continue her journey with visitations from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave., Rockaway, N.J.

Funeral Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home with interment to follow at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Rockaway, N.J.
