Norma Binder

Norma Marie (Wopata) Binder was born to Ed and Elsie (Skillet) Wopata on August 26, 1920 on a farm northeast of Table Rock, Nebraska.  Norma went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 6, 2017. She attended high School in Table Rock and graduated in 1939.


   After graduation, Norma taught at the clear Creek School for three years.  On May 9, 1942 she was united in marriage to Howard Binder at her parent’s home. While Howard was serving over-seas during WWII, Norma moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she worked at the Western Electric Company.


   After Howard’s honorable discharge from the Army, they moved back to Table Rock and began to farm.  To this union were born three children, Richard, Marcia, and Marlys.  On October 20, 1957, Norma trusted Christ as her personal Savior.


   Norma was preceded in death by her father, her mother and her husband.  She is survived by her three children: Richard (Karen) Binder of Table Rock, NE; Marcia (Bernie) Augsburger of Washington, IL; Marlys (Gary) Fisk of Pine, CO; Nine grandchildren: Darwin (Jennifer) Binder of Forest City, MO; Dustin (Jenny) of Craig, MO; LaShawn (Blake) Noel of Oregon, MO; Michael (Liz) Augsburger of W. Des Moines, IA; Michelle (Jared) Johnston of Grinnell, IA; David (Jessica) Fisk of W. Des Moines, IA; Nathan (Laurie) Fisk of Rifle, CO; Aaron Fisk of Troy, OH; and Katie Fisk of Golden, CO; and fifteen great grandchildren.


   Norma was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Pawnee City, NE. 


 Funeral services 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Faith Baptist Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Pastors Bernie Augsburger, Pastor Mike Augsburger and Pastor Chris Rohrbaugh officiating. Visitation Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
