Edna Mae (Schoenfelder) Miller, 78, of Elwood, Kansas passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home.

Edna was born on December 16, 1938 in Troy, Kansas to Francis E. & Elizabeth (Studer) Schoenfelder.

She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church & the Women’s Council both of Wathena. Edna started working in Franklin, Nebraska Hospital & nursing home, then in Republican City, Nebraska as owner & operator of the Gateway Motel. She also worked in food services & volunteered at the Joyce Patterson of St. Joseph, Missouri & the Keen age Center & nursing home of Wathena.

Edna married Gerald Vincent Miller on May 10, 1958 in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Betty Lou, a brother, LaMonte “Lee’ Schoenfelder, son-in-law, Thomas Bruegging & sister-in-law, June Schoenfelder.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 10, 2017
At the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wathena, Kansas
Rosary: 7 P.M. Wednesday evening at the church, with visitation to follow.
Friends may call after 9 A.M. Wednesday at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas.
Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wathena, Kansas
Memorials: St. Croix Hospice or any cancer research of donor’s choice.
