Donna Jean Ford, 64, of Holton, KS passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born March 5, 1953 in Holton, KS the daughter of Donald Gene and Lois Eileen (Hainline) Fowler.

Donna graduated from Mayetta High School in 1971 and attended Highland Community College. She was a lifelong member of the Holton and Mayetta communities.

Donna was a Correctional Officer for Lansing Women’s Prison for 6 years. She had also worked at Pruitt Appliance in Topeka. Donna was a homemaker and housewife.

She was a member of Christ Church in Holton and Mayetta Eastern Star.

Donna married Gary Shafer in November of 1970, they later divorced. She married Rickland “Rick” O. Ford on October 10, 1979 in Mayetta; he survives of the home. Other survivors include 2 daughters, Nikki Wing (Don) and Trisha Cattrell (Travis) both of Circleville; a brother, Ricky Fowler (Rhonda) of Topeka; 2 grandsons, Austin and Joshua Skillett; 2 step-grandchildren, Heather Holt and Donald Wing, Jr. and 4 step-great-grandchildren, Meaghan, Reaghan, Courtnee and Colbee.

Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
