Shirley Ann Hoskins 
(July 6, 1949 - October 2, 2017)

Shirley Ann Hoskins, 68, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Brandon Woods in Lawrence, Kansas.

She was born on July 6, 1949 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Stanford and Loretta DuPuis Walker.

Shirley worked as a social worker before retiring. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas. She married Oscar Hoskins in 1963.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim Hoskins and Brenda Rivera both of Lawrence, Kansas; two sons, James Hoskins of Fort Worth, Texas and Michael Hoskins of Mayetta, Kansas; two brothers, Tony Walker of Horton, Kansas and Raymond Walker of Kansas City, Kansas; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oscar Hoskins, son, Frank Hoskins and sister Anita Walker.

Drum services will be at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will be Friday morning at the Kennekuk Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
