Ronald “Ron” Gene Jacobson, a resident of Towanda, KS, formerly of Everest, KS, passed away on October 23, 2017, at Wesley Medical Center, at the age of 75 years.

Ron was born on September 19, 1942, to Lind and Martha (Greer) Jacobson. He was raised in Willis, KS, where he graduated from Willis High School, in 1960. After High School, Ron joined the Army National Guard and Ron retired from Mission Township in 1998, in Brown County, Kansas.

Ron and Charlotte (Coder) Jacobson married on September 14, 1963 and had 3 children, Angela, Tamara and Charlie.

Ron was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Everest, KS, and attended Towanda United Methodist Church in Towanda, KS.

Ron was known for his sense of humor, and he enjoyed spending time with Charlotte, his pugs and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Ron will be sadly missed by his wife, Charlotte, and children Angela (Wendell) Watson, of Weston, FL, Tamara (Walter) Alexander, of Meriden, KS, Charlie (Bobbie) Jacobson, of Towanda, KS, and 8 grandchildren (Tyler Matthias, Spencer Jacobson, Tanner Matthias, Eli Jacobson, Taylor Watson, Nathan Watson, Brett Jacobson and Duke Jacobson), and his brother, Delbert Jacobson of Willis, KS.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his sister, Lorene Jacobson Scott.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Towanda United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor John Martyn officiating. Burial will take place at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, in Everest, KS, at a later date.
