Doris Marie Keim Montgomery, 89, passed away November 7, 2017 in Lansing, Kansas.

She was born December 30, 1927 in Holton, Kansas to Harvey D. Keim and Gertrude Boyd Keim.  She graduated from Holton High School in 1946 and attended Ottawa University for one year 1947 -1948.

Doris worked at Hallmark Cards, K.C., MO, Key Rexall Drugs, O.P., KS, Stay & Play Day Care Center (Antioch Hills Baptist Church), O.P., KS, and retired from Kenney Healthmart Drug Store after 17 years, Lenexa, KS.  In 1992, she returned to Holton to care for her father.

She was the coordinator of volunteers for Meals on Wheels for the Holton Hospital.  She was a member of the Holton First Baptist Church and sang in their choir, a member of Crusaders Sunday School Class, Holton Business Women, Holton VFW Ladies Aux. #1367 and Holton Humane Society.

Survivors are two daughters; Ruth Burke, Lansing, KS and Carol Kabrey (Doug), Gravois Mills, MO, two sons; David Montgomery (Nancy), Owasso, OK and Steven Montgomery (Cindy), Clarksville, TN, 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother who died November 18, 1975, her Father who died June 4, 1994, and her only sibling, Robert M. Keim, who died December 29, 1986.
Doris was married to Marion D. Montgomery, November 7, 1948.  He died June 30, 1985.

Memorial Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Holton Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is handling the arrangements.
