Kathy Burgess, 58, of Holton, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Community Hospital in Onaga.

She was born December 30, 1959 at Holton, the daughter of Jack and Mary Ann Servaes Robinson.  She graduated from ACCHS at Effingham in 1977.

Kathy was a nurse with Jefferson County Home Health.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Zachary Gilliland, and a brother, Joseph Jack Robinson, who died in infancy.

Survivors include two sons, Andy Gilliland (Amy), Berryton, and Jacob Gilliland (Kathleen), Emporia; her significant other, Sam Dillon, of the home; three sisters, Sue Havel (Joe), Larkinburg, Robin Whitten (Mick), Theodosia, MO, and Becky Robinson, Lawrence; and three grandchildren, Abby Gilliland, Kaylee Gilliland and Blaine Gilliland.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton.  Burial will follow in the Larkinburg Cemetery.  Kathy will lie in state Thursday and Friday at the funeral home where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday.  Memorials are suggested to Friends of Hospice of Jefferson County, and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O.
