LTC Wayne Marvin Stoller, retired, U.S. Army, 86, of Falls City, NE, passed away January 11, 2018 at Falls City. He was born July 1, 1931 at Sabetha, KS to Robert and Martha (Imthurn) Stoller.

Wayne enlisted in the U. S. Army on June 25, 1954 at Ft. Bliss, TX. He served overseas tours in Vietnam and Saudi Arabia. He earned a National Defense Service Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Cluster, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Joint Services Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star. He retired and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1974 at Ft. Carson, CO.

He married Betty Ralston on August 2, 1953 at Sabetha, KS.

Wayne was raised on the family farm south of Sabetha and graduated Sabetha High School in 1949. He then earned Teaching and Geology Degrees and a Masters of Teaching from Kansas State University. He a member of the R.O.T.C while at Kansas State. Upon his retirement from the Army he taught science at Dawson-Verdon High School for 18 years, retiring in 1993.

Following retirement he worked at the Falls City Library and taught CPR to thousands of individuals in Richardson County and also taught CPR instructors. He ran the latch key program and volunteered at the Library and was the treasurer of Friends of the Library. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and served many position of leadership. He was also a member of Falls City Elks Lodge.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Betty of Falls City, sons, Mike and his wife Joleen of Falls City, Jeff and his wife Deb of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren, Josh Stoller of Lincoln, Jordy and Katie Stoller of Falls City, Nic Somera of Hollywood, CA, Jessica Stoller of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glen and sisters, Helen Scoby and Betty Barrick.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First United Presbyterian Church with Reverend Nancy Tuma officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
