Becky Jo McFeeters, 60, of Hiawatha, died unexpectedly Monday evening, January 15, 2018, at her home.

She was born February 6, 1957, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, one of five children born to John and Dora Bartholemew McKee.  Becky grew up at Cedar Rapids prior to moving with her family as a teenager to Missouri.  Becky worked hard to complete requirements for her GED.  She met her first husband George Baxter where they soon moved to Sabetha and where two sons were born:  Larry and Jason.  They lived in Sabetha and Hiawatha and later divorced.  Becky worked as a telemarketer and as a fast food waitress in Hiawatha.

Becky enjoyed playing card games, putting puzzles together as a family, coloring with her grandson, Jeffery.  She crocheted, loved watching “Wheel of Fortune” on TV; along with the older shows such as “Little House on the Prairie.”  She was very out-spoken and gave you her 2 cents when she thought you needed it or not!

She married Randel McFeeters, July 21, 1983, at the Courthouse in Hiawatha as he was on leave from the Army.  They made Hiawatha all of their married life and had two children:  Randel, Jr., and Stephanie.

Survivors include her husband Randy of the home; three sons:  Larry Baxter and Jason Baxter, both of Cassville, MO, Randel McFeeters of Hiawatha; a daughter Stephanie McFeeters (Craig Royer) of Hiawatha; sister Suann Lawson (Randy) of Morrill; two grandchildren:  Jeffery Wayne Gaston, Jessie Baxter.  Also surviving are her sister in law Shawna Miller (Dan) of Hiawatha.

Services are planned for 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 19, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha.  Pastor Rich Lehmkuhl will officiate.  Cremation will follow services with private inurnment to be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends from 7 until 8:30 Thursday evening.
