Leonard Dale Kranz, 79, of Circleville, KS passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his home with family by his side.

He was born May 30, 1938 in Holton, KS the son of Henry Fernand Kranz and Sarah Roxie (Jennings) Kranz. Leonard graduated from Netawaka High School 1956. Leonard served in the United States Army in 1960 and was a member of the Holton VFW Post #1367.

Leonard was an owner/operator of Lenco Transport where he was a truck driver for over twenty years and retired in 2004.

Leonard married Dorothy R. Jackson. They later divorced. Leonard married Theresa Mary Ramos on March 14, 1998 in Naperville, IL. They shared over 19 years of marriage. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean Nicoloff (George) of Cortland, IL; a daughter, Kirstan Dale Vicker of Belton, TX; a son, Gary Allen Kranz (Kelli) of Medaryville, IN; a daughter, Marilyn Sue Collins of Belton, Texas; step daughter, Rhonda Ann Brooker (Robert) of Cresthill, IL; step daughter, Jennifer Lee Anderson (Ken) of Plainfield, IL; step daughter, Tracy Kay Anderson (Karl) of Maple Hill, KS; sister, Loretta Cotter of Lewisville, TX; brother, Donald Kranz (Norma) of Nemo, TX; twenty-three grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Fern Warren and Ruby Kranz; four brothers, Vaden, Lloyd, Duane and Gorden Kranz; and a great grandson, Christopher Michael Kranz.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton with the burial to follow at the Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Mercer Funeral Home.
