Robert M. “Bob” Weber, 84, of Atchison, Kansas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Paolucci’s Banquet Room, 115 S. 3rd St, Atchison. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. with a celebration of Bob’s life to follow. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict Parish or Maur Hill-Mount Academy School and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, 208 North 5th Street, Atchison, Kansas 66002. Robert was born on June 13, 1933 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Jacob P. and Alice (Knowles) Weber. He attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School and graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1952.

He and Rosemary Ellen Begley were united in marriage on April 23, 1960 at St. Benedict’s Church in Atchison, Kansas. Rosemary preceded him in death on October 17, 2009.

Bob was employed as a grain inspector for the state of Kansas for thirty-six years until his retirement. He then worked as a delivery man for Van Dyke’s Grocery Store for several years, delivering groceries to numerous residents of Atchison.

Bob was a member of St. Benedict Parish, V.F. W. Post #1175, Fleming-Jackson-Seever Post #6 of the American Legion and a former member of Sacred Heart Council #723 of Knights of Columbus. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals, the Chiefs and KU Jayhawks. He enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events and watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting activities. He loved to play bingo in his spare time.

He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from March 26, 1954 until his honorable discharge on May 24, 1957.

Survivors include three sons, Rick (Karin) Weber, Atchison, KS; Michael (Bonnie) Weber, Houston, TX; Robert (Sheryl) Weber, Atchison, KS; a daughter, Cel (Kevin) Clements, Plano, TX; two sisters, Ruthanna Ramsey, Topeka, KS; Delores “Jean” Moranz, Mountain Home, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Bridget, Sarah, Amber, Caroline, Megan, Michael, Amanda, Mary, Ryan and Nicole; five great grandchildren, Marley Rose, Alex, Delylah, Harrison, Madelyn Rose and his faithful companion, Nancy Beien, Atchison, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and four sisters, Helen Lee, Dorothy Weber, Evelyn Gray, Irene Glancy and seven brothers, Herman, Al, Jake, Leo, Ralph, Leonard and Edward
