Jeffrey Lynn “Jeff” Minard, 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on April 30, 2018.

Funeral services will be on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Cremation will follow the services with interment at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Andrew J. Somora Foundation and may be left in care of the funeral home.  

He was born on May 12th, 1961 to Monte Minard and Anna “Marie” Vandrell Minard. He was born and raised in Atchison, KS and attended Trinity, Franklin and Atchison High School.

On February 24, 1979 he married Robin Ferris at the first Christian Church in Huron, KS. Together they started their family in the Atchison area and later moved to Falls City, NE.

While living in Atchison, he was employed by Benedictine College and the Mount as a maintenance worker. He moved to Falls City, NE in 1991 where he was employed as a shift supervisor for WASP, Alamo Group and was promoted to a plant manager for Vantec Inc.

Jeff was a jack of all trades, he did carpentry work, vehicle repairs and often would help others in his spare time. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and most of all spending quality time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Robin of the home, their 3 children Ryan (Melissa) Minard of Crocker MO, Shane (Ashley) Minard of Horton KS and Amberly (Timothy) Moore of Rushville, MO, 9 grandchildren; Madison Minard, Dayton Minard, Abigail Minard, Remington Minard, Lucas Moore, Elaina Minard, Weston Minard, Bailey Moore and Joselyn Moore, his sister Debbie (Randy) Jewell, his father Monte and Stepmother Sue Minard, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Anna “Marie” Minard, his grandparents and his father in law Charles Ferris.
