Norma Jane Koerperich, 84, of Seneca, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Life Care Center of Seneca.

Norma was born in Kelly on December 18, 1933 to Albert and Anna Rusche Ronnebaum.  She attended Corning Catholic School and graduated from Corning High School in 1952.  As a young woman, she worked for Graff Elevator.  

On August 22, 1955 she married LeRoy H. Koerperich at St. Patrick’s Church in Corning.  They lived on a farm just south of Corning, until 1961, when they moved to Seneca. Norma was devoted wife and mother, only working out of the home a few years for Seneca Elevator. 

After raising her family, was employed for 13 years at J.C. Penny’s in Seneca, Koerperich Liquor & Deli for 10 years and then Macke Deli for 10 years.  She retired on January 1, 2003
Norma enjoyed Bingo, a good card game and going to the Casino. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the St. Ann’s Altar society and the VFW Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy on February 21, 1989; a grandson, Bradley J. Hunninghake on August 13, 1994; and a son in law, Deloye J. Hunninghake on June 9, 2018.

She is survived by her children, Carol Hunninghake of Baileyville, Keith (Kathleen) Koerperich of Topeka, Leah (Dan) Shannon of Seneca and Dean Koerperich of Marysville; siblings, Maxine Hochard of Tonganoxie, Alberta Stallbaumer of Topeka, Nancy Ronnebaum of Seneca and Marlin Ronnebaum of Seneca; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be prayed at 7 PM on Thursday, June 28th at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10AM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are for Sts. Peter and Paul School sent in care of the family.
