Norman Eugene Roudybush, 78, of Wetmore, KS passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He was born October 3, 1939 in Marysville, KS, the son of Guy Leonard and Eula Margaret (Plattner) Roudybush.

 Norman attended Onaga Grade Schools and Louisville High School. He had proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Norman had lived in Wetmore since 1995 and previously Astoria, OR and Colorado.

 He owned and operated, with his wife, The Butcher Shop in Ellsworth, KS in the 1970’s; he was Undersheriff for Nemaha County in the 1980’s and most recently worked as Produce Manager for Holton Countrymart (until its closing).

Norman was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hiawatha and Wetmore American Legion Post 282.

He married Irene M. Trundle on February 3, 1962 in Topeka; celebrating 56 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Irene of the home; 2 daughters, Debbie Frayer (John) of Powhattan, KS and Nancy Hackler of Wetmore, KS; a son, Michael Roudybush of Holton, KS; 2 sisters, Elenora Starr of Holton, KS and Karen Gilliland of Topeka, KS; a brother, Howard Roudybush of Westmoreland, KS; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Roudybush in 2017; a son-in-law, Rex Hackler in 2007; 2 sisters, Verella Roudybush and Patricia Dekat and 2 brothers, Larry and Leonard Roudybush.

Memorial Service with Military Honors will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Wetmore Cemetery.
