Chenenia Delores “NumKumGoKwe”Johnson, 30, of Horton, KS died Monday afternoon, July 16, 2018 from injuries sustained in a car accident early Sunday morning.

Chenenia was born April 11, 1988 the daughter of Randolph Lee Johnson and Sally Ann Wakole.  She graduated High School from Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma.  She continued her education at Highland Community College where she received her CNA license and Med Aide certification.    

Chenenia worked at Maple Heights Nursing Home and then worked for The Pines in Hiawatha.  She later worked for Horton Elementary School and most recently was the Office Manager for Kickapoo Nation School.

Chenenia loved her family and spending time with her children.  She was very proud of her kids.  She also enjoyed playing softball with friends and family.

She is survived by her parents, brother, Sheldon “Tope” Johnson, adopted brother, Timothy Pahmahmie, and sister, Rona Johnson all of Horton, Kansas.  Also surviving are her children, sons, Kadin Johnson, twin sons, LaShaune and LaShane Grant, Royce Simon, and Royal Simon, daughters, Mahkell Grant,  and Sugars Shopteese  all of the home.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Monte Lee Johnson in 2009, Grandparents, Rudolph Sr and Phyllis Johnson, Reba and Walter Wakole, and Marjorie and John Pahmahmie.

Drum Services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Golden Eagle Rd Site#2 on the Kickapoo Reservation.  Burial will be at the Kennekuk Cemetery Friday morning, July 20, 2018.
