Glen G. Keegan, 94, Axtell, died Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Crestview Nursing and Residential Living of Seneca.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home. 

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, at St. Michael’s Church.  Burial will follow in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. 

Glen was born February 2, 1924 in Axtell, KS, the son of Thomas and Mabel (Deane) Keegan.  He attended school in Axtell and joined the US Army in 1942.  He was a 71-year continuous member of the American Legion R.R. Hendricks Post #214 in Axtell.

Glen was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He served as City Clerk and Municipal Judge in Axtell for many years, retiring in 1988.  He also was a school bus driver for Clyde Temple and Bob Torrey.

On July 4, 1944, Glen married Mary Sunnenberg at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville, she preceded him in death on May 31, 2018. He was also preceded by his parents; and four brothers; Saline, Lyle, Otto and Alfred.

Survivors include son Glen Ronald (Somjai), Topeka, daughters Paulette (Ken) Haug, Salida, Co, Maureen Hendrix, Sheryl Keegan, Topeka; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Church and sent in care of the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home, Axtell.
