Wayne L. Dexter, 81, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the University of Kansas Medical Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on September 25, 1936 in Trenton, Missouri the son of Theron L. and Grace Moman Dexter. Wayne worked for Rockwell International in Atchison, Kansas as a foreman for 39 years. On March 25, 1960 he married Nyla Joslin in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, Nyla Dexter of the home, Horton, Kansas; two sons, Dennis Dexter of Topeka, Kansas and Todd (Angel) Dexter of Horton, Kansas; two sisters, Ruth Meyers of Horton, Kansas and Carol Dexter of Shiocton, Wisconsin; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin sister at birth, two brothers, Jimmy Dexter and Theron “Butch” Dexter. The family will greet friends on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.
