Larry Paul Kruse, 73, of the Sabetha/Fairview communities, peacefully passed away November 18, 2018 at his Sabetha home.

He was born in Falls City, Nebraska on January 12, 1945 to Leo and Bertha (Gerdes) Kruse of Hamlin.  Larry graduated from Fairview High School in 1963, and attended Emporia State University in 1963 and 1964.  He married Kathryn (Lippincott) Kruse on May 16, 1970 at St

Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairview, Kansas.  Most of Larry’s life, he spent farming with his dad.  Larry also carried mail part-time, and worked at Wenger Manufacturing from 1995-2011.  Some of Larry’s free time was spent riding his motorcycle, attending his grandchildren’s activities, and playing cards and going to the casino with friends.  

Survivors include:  son Jeremy Kruse and wife Christy of Wamego, their children Emma, Jack, and Ellie Kate; son Boog (Jamie) Kruse and wife Teri of Morrill, their children Maggie, Morganne, and Jared; daughter Janie and husband Eric Murk of Junction City, their dog Lily; parents Leo and Bertha Kruse of Sabetha, and his beloved Shih Tzu B.J.  

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Kay, and Jann Louise; his wife, Kathryn (Lippincott) Kruse December 15, 2011; in-laws Creston and Nola Lippincott, and his faithful four-legged friend C.J.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha, with Andy Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Goff.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Tuesday where the family will meet from 5 until 7 that evening.
