Margaret " Jeanne" Lockwood
Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton
Muscotah, KS

Margaret "Jeanne" Lockwood, 92, of Muscotah, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Mission Village Living Center in Horton, Kansas.

She was born on December 25, 1925 in Muscotah, Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Mae Martin Bushey. Jeanne worked as a cook for the Muscotah Grade School for 28 years before retiring after the school closed.

She was a member of the Muscotah United Church and was a life long supported of Muscotah Pride and the Outreach program.

Jeanne loved to sew, made quilts and decorated hangers for several of her friends and family. She was quite a cook and loved spending time with her family.

On June 8, 1946 she married Harold E. Lockwood in Holton, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1993.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Susan (Ed) Higley of Muscotah, Kansas; two grandsons Scott Higley of Atchison, Kansas and Brian (Deana) Higley of Muscotah, Kansas; two great grandsons, Clayton Higley of Muscotah, Kansas and Dalton Higley of Atchison, Kansas.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 29, 2018  at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 7:30 P.M. Burial will be at the Muscotah Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Muscotah United Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
