Eugene William Kramer, 81, of the  Mooney Creek community of rural Winchester, died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka. He was born March 25, 1937 in Winchester, the son of William Adolph and Eulalia Rosella Shrick Kramer.  

As a lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1955 graduate of Winchester High School.  He was a farmer and stockman all his life and also worked as a welder.  He served many years in the Kansas National Guard, stationed in Atchison. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Mooney Creek and Knights of Columbus Council#132.  

He married Joan Ann Wagner on April 11, 1961 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Potter, she preceded him in death on May 21, 2014.

He is survived by four sons, Doug (Lisa) Kramer, Winchester, David Kramer, Manhattan, Curtis (Jenny) Kramer, Basehor, Kent (Brenda) Kramer, Valley Falls, three brothers, Jerry Kramer, Winchester, Wayne Kramer, Carbondale, Stephen Kramer, Winchester, four sisters, Verda Walters, Parkville, MO, Connie Speaks, Paola, Janice Firestone, Topeka, Deborah Borek, Broomfield, CO, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Kramer, two brothers, Danny Kramer, Terrence Kramer and a sister, Mary Linda Malicke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Mooney Creek. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery.  A Parish Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, Wednesday at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Visitation 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
