Judith M. Hutfles, 76, of Onaga, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Eastridge Nursing Facility in Centralia.

She was born September 8, 1942 at Seneca, the daughter of Norbert and Rosezella Luginbill Boeding.  She graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul High School in Seneca in 1960 and went to business school in Omaha for one year. 

Judy worked in medical records at Community Hospital in Onaga for many years.  She and Vern owned and operated the Onaga Livestock Commission.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Onaga.

She married Vern Hutfles on April 23, 1966 at Seneca.  He died January 1, 2014.

Judy was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Valburg (Tony), Onaga and Vickie Fischer, (Alan), Wheaton; a brother, Joe Boeding (Darlene), Topeka; six sisters, Marilyn Nolte (Tom), Centralia, Karen Henry (Dan) and Paula Fleury, all of Seneca, Donna Maskil (Frank), Bonner Springs, Pat Deters (Dan), Corning, and Joan Clelland (Rick), Topeka; eight grandchildren, Trevor, Jordan and Morgan Valburg, and Danielle, Taylor, Jamie, Jace and Chloe Fischer, and twelve great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 11th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in the Onaga Cemetery.  A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the church, followed by visitation.  Memorials are suggested to the Judy Hutfles Memorial Fund, to be designated later, and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O.
