Martin J. Akin, 93, of Axtell, Kan., died January 9, 2019 at Crestview Manor in Seneca, Kan.

The family will receive friends at visitation on Sunday, January 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home in Axtell.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 14 at the Axtell United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Axtell.

Survivors include his children, Tommy (Paula) Akin, Glendale, AZ, Douglas (Candie) Akin, Axtell, Charlotte (Dwight) Kruse, Fairview, KS, and Randall (Shelby) Akin, Albuquerque, NM; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and special friend, Johanna McMahon, Beattie, KS.

A memorial fund has been established to the Nemaha County Home Health & Hospice or the Axtell United Methodist Church.  Contributions may be sent in care of the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home.
