Vinson Murphy Cruse, formerly of White Cloud, KS, passed away unexpectedly January 6, 2019, at his Wichita, Kansas home. He was 58.

Vinson was born August 28, 1960, at St. Joseph, Missouri. He grew up at White Cloud, attending schools in Highland. Vinson worked a number of years at the wood shutter plant in Hiawatha, before moving to Wichita and worked in construction. He most recently was working for a tree trimming service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Albert, Glenn Cruse, and infant brother Donald Watson, Jr.

Survivors include a son Dax Cruse of St. Joseph, Missouri, grandson Jisaan. Vinson’s siblings are Byron Cruse, Jr. (Karen) of Lincoln, NE, Vanessa Bowen of Wichita, KS, Donna Watson, also of St. Joseph, numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Vinson’s life is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha, with Regina Stillman officiating. Inurnment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, White Cloud.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
