Grace L. Kramer Baker, 75, of Wetmore, on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the Sabetha Hospital, surrounded in the comfort of her loving family, was received in the arms of our loving Lord.

Grace was born March 12, 1943, to Arthur and Ann Boeding Kramer in Seneca, Kansas. She was raised on a farm and graduated in 1961 from Sts. Peter and Paul School in Seneca.

She was employed at the Methodist Home, the Topeka-Shawnee Health Department and Sac & Fox Casino.

On January 22, 1977 Grace married Leo B. Baker at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. They made there home in Wetmore, where she raised her family and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed knitting, gardening, canning and playing cards. She loved watching the kid’s activities in school and their Boy Scout activities.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the St. Ann’s Altar Society, all in Wetmore.

She is survived by her husband, Leo of 41 years; her children, Tony (Val) Baker of Emporia, Barbara Pyles of Topeka, Allen (Phylicia) Baker of Kelly and Bradley Baker of Sabetha; two sisters, Jane (Larry) Hesse of Topeka and Helen Krier of Salem Oregon; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be prayed at 5 PM on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore. Burial will be in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Fidelity.

In lieu of flowers the donations are for Cerebral Palsy and the Diabetes Foundations sent in care of the family.
