Mairya Brant, 14 years old, of Atchison, Kansas passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 10, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Atchison United Methodist Church with Pastor Joseph Ikner officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9th from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Mairya was born September 8, 2004, in Aurora, Colorado, the daughter of LaMarr and Tyra (Smith) Brant. She was a student at the Atchison Middle School.

She enjoyed many things in life including, basketball, spelling, playing video games, especially tennis on her Nintendo Wii. Like so many her age she enjoyed playing on her phone. Mairya loved her Lord and Savior.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents; two sisters, Delores and Alissa Brant and her grandparents Janet Smith, Frances Coleman and Lamarr (Alyssa) Brant, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William Jack Smith, Sr.
