William R. Kinsey, II, 47 years old, a resident of Atchison, Kansas passed away Monday, June 3, 2019.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the west parking lot of St. Benedict Catholic School, which is named after his daughter, Alli.  A lunch will follow in the school commons. Memorial contributions are suggested to Atchison Humane Society or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and may be left with the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom care has been entrusted.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Kinsey, as he was known, was born November 5, 1971 in Sanford, Florida the son of William R. Kinsey and Betty R. (Talley) Kinsey. During his career in the military he earned several degrees, later in life earning his Doctorate in Aeronautical Engineering.  

He and the former Susan E. Hegarty were united in marriage on December 10, 2016.  

Kinsey served in the United States Navy as a submariner from November 7, 1990 to July 14, 1999. He loved what he did in the military and was very proud of his service to his country.  After exiting the service, he built, owned and operated KTSI, an engineering firm providing services to our nation’s Defense Department.

He truly loved his children and the time he was able to spend with them.  There was no hobby that he would not try; and if he decided to try something there was no doubt he would soon master that.  

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Susan Kinsey, Atchison, KS; two sons, William Marshall Kinsey, Greenville, SC, Sean Fisher Kinsey, Sarasota, FL; his mother, Betty R. Miller; a brother, Johnny Waycaster; sisters, Joan Clute and Rita Arnold.  

He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Kinsey, and his daughter, Aleigha K. Kinsey.
