Margaret Ann Fricke, 96, of Prescott, AZ, passed away June 3, 2019 in Prescott, AZ. She was born March 23, 1923 in Delia, KS, the daughter of Louis M. and Margaret (Salisbury) Hurla. She was the youngest of 11 children. 

Margaret spent her childhood on farms near Delia, KS until 1939. The family then moved to Valley Falls, KS and she attended Stach Grade School (it is now located near Topeka in Historical Park) until the 8thgrade. Margaret attended 3 years at Ward High School in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Valley Falls High School as Salutatorian. Following graduation, she worked in Topeka, KS and attended Cadet Nurse Corp- where she met her beloved husband Forrest. Graduating from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1947 as a Registered Nurse.

She worked in a Falls City, NE hospital for a few years, before returning to Topeka, KS. She also lived in Kansas City, MO, Council Bluffs, IA and Aurora, NE. In 1981 she moved to Arizona; living in ChinoValley, Mesa, Tempe, Cottonwood and Prescott.

Margaret married Forrest K. Fricke in December of 1947 in Topeka, KS. They celebrated over 30 years of marriage until his death in 1977. She was also preceded in death by her 10 siblings. 

 She is survived by her 3 sons and Daughter: Mark Fricke (his wife Stephanie) of Prescott Valley, AZ; Randall Fricke of Black Canyon City, AZ; Anita Scarim (her husband Roger) of Cottonwood, AZ; Dale Fricke (his wife Denise) of Bozeman, MT; Her grandchildren Matthew Lawrence, Hope Scarim, Stephanie Scarim; Hannah Fricke; John Fricke (his wife Mackenzie) Joshua Fricke, Jacob Fricke (his wife Elisabeth) great-granddaughter Gwen Lawrence and many nieces and nephews.
