Barbara Louise (Young) Archer, 79, of Whiting, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the KU Medical Center-St Francis Campus in Topeka, Kansas.

She was born on July 13, 1939 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Thomas and Emily Reed Young. Barb was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, going to thrift shops, going out to eat and spending time with her family and dog, Jasper. On February 22, 1963 she married Richard Archer in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Archer of the home, Whiting, Kansas; daughter, Bridget Archer of Whiting, Kansas; son, Brett Archer of Boise, Idaho; three grandchildren, Bronson, Archer, Gaige Kibbe and Austin Archer; three great grandchildren, Hunter, Bryce and Natalie.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until services time. Burial will follow at the Springhill Cemetery in Whiting, Kansas.
