Camille M. Osborn, 71, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at her home.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Gabriel Landis, OSB as celebrant. Parish rosary will be recited at the church on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. preceding the mass. She has been cremated under the care and direction of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home. Camille was born on November 5, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of James W. and Augusta (Chalabala) Wiggs. She attended catholic schools in Indianapolis, St. Mary’s of the Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana, and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she completed her Master’s Degree.

She and Charles E. “Charlie” Osborn were united in marriage on May 20, 1978, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Camille was the Director of Academic Advising at Benedictine College. She worked diligently through her role to assist students to afford them special accommodations to ensure their success in college. She and Charlie were Oblates at Mount St. Scholastica.

She was a member of St. Benedict Parish, where she was devout with her time spent in Perpetual Adoration and playing the organ at St. Joseph’s Church. She loved the outdoors and would so often be found gardening, fishing, camping, traveling, hiking, canoeing and bird watching.

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Charlie Osborn, of the couple’s home in Atchison, KS; her son, C. Joseph (Stephanie) Osborn, Atchison, KS; and two sisters, Cathy Mahaffey, Indianapolis, IN, Colleen Ataras, Datil, NM, and a sister-in-law, Carol Finlayson, Coopersville, MI.

She was preceded in death by parents, and her brother, Dr. James Wiggs.
