Jeannie Schulze, 101, of Falls City, NE, passed away September 9, 2019 at Falls City. She was born November 6, 1917 at Lincoln, NE to Jesse and Gladys (Buser) Hendricks.

She married Don Belden, was killed in action in 1944. She then married Frederic J. Schulze on May 14, 1947 at Marysville, KS. He passed away June 4, 2009.

Jeannie was raised at Dawson and graduated Dawson High School in 1936. She then attended Park College at Parkville, MO for a year. When married to Mr. Belden the couple made their home at Hiawatha and she later moved to Lincoln. When married to Mr. Schulze the couple made their home on the family farm in rural Dawson, moving into Falls City in 2000, then to Jonesbrook and into Falls City Care Center in 2015. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Jeannie is survived by her daughter, Mickey Carmichael and her husband Jim of Lafayette, CO, Sue Harmon and her husband Galen of Salem, NE, Sandy Hansen and her husband Eldon of Omaha, NE, Linda Santo and her partner William Reed of Falls City, son, George Perry and his wife Donna of Estes Park, CO, sister, Lee Farrar of Van Nuys, CA, nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son in infancy, granddaughters, Ann and Elisa, sisters, Betty Tackett and Dorothy Novosel.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towle St.) with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating. Interment will be in Verdon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time at the church.
