Edna “Mae” Hittle, 77, of Holton, KS, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at her home with family by her side.

Mae was born April 4, 1942 in Holton, KS, the daughter of Raymond F. and Edna F. (Albin) Swindale. She graduated from Circleville High School. Mae worked for Denison State Bank for over 30 years, last few years as a bank officer.

She married Gary Lyle Hittle on July 1, 1960 in Holton, KS. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1989. They celebrated over 29 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold Duane Swindale in 1991.

Survivors include 2 sons, Brent Hittle (Marlene) of Harveyville, KS and Kent Hittle (Jody) of Milford, KS; a daughter, Rita Dowd (John) of Topeka, KS; 3 brothers, Melvin Swindale of Security, CO, Leonard Swindale of Holton, KS and Darryl Swindale of Topeka, KS; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Goff, KS.
