Bill J. Teter, 83, of Holton, KS, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at his son’s home in Holton. He was born March 15, 1936 in Winfield, KS, the son of Jay Roscoe and Opal Aileen (Albright) Teter.

Bill graduated from Circleville High School. He proudly served in the United States Army Active Duty from 1958-1959 and he continue to serve in the Army Reserves from 1959-1972. He was lifetime member of the Jackson County Communities.

Bill worked many years for General Foods in Topeka. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holton and was also a former student and leader for Boy Scouts of America.

He married Jean Ellen Meyer on July 6, 1958 in Holton. She preceded him in death on December 9, 1999; after 41 years of marriage.

Survivors include his son, Brent W. Teter (Cindy) of Holton, KS; his daughter, Kimberly Teter-Cope (Larry) of Hawarden, IA; 2 brothers, Roscoe D. Teter of Circleville, KS and Bobby R. Teter of Peculiar, MO and 3 grandchildren, Breanna N. Teter, Ethan M. Teter and Braun A. Teter.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Mercer Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Netawaka Cemetery.
