Barbara Ann Jones, 71, of Holton, Kansas formerly of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Medicalodge of Holton, Kansas.

Barbara was born on November 11, 1947 in Centralia, Kansas the daughter of Cyril and Emma H. (Deters) Holthaus.  She graduated from Horton High School. Barbara worked in the revenue department, driver control department and the beverage control departments for the State of Kansas. Barbara married Harold Jones on May 2, 1990 in Atchison, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Pamela Holthaus.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Ann Sale of Leona, Kansas: grandchildren, Caleb Jeffrey and Raven Sale; great-grandchildren, Alan Jeffrey, Riley Jeffrey and Aubrey Jeffrey. Four brothers, Stan Holthaus, Jim Holthaus, and Mike Holthaus all of Horton, Kansas and Clint Holthaus of Hiawatha, Kansas; Two sisters, Kathy Handke of Atchison, Kansas and Ruby Heinen of Denton, Kansas.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday morning. Burial will be held at the Wetmore Cemetery. Memorials may be sent the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
