James “JB” Smith, 77, Mound City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Mosaic Life Care.

He was born December 26, 1941 in Craig, Missouri.

JB married Carol Karsten May 22, 1987; she survives of the home.

He proudly served in the US Army and was a 50-year member of American Legion Post 164.

JB worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a 40-year member of Operating Engineers Local 101.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Francis (Pflaummer) Smith; and a nephew Alan Bunt.

Additional Survivors include son, Darrin Stewart (Kim); grandchildren, Peyton, Monte and Bristol; sisters, June Ann Haer, Carolyn Bunt (John), and Sue Caton (Ben) and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Farewell Services 11:30 A.M. Saturday, I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, MO. The family will gather with friends 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Pettijohn & Crawford Family Funeral Service.
