Doris Ione Hall, 87, of Holton, KS passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at a Topeka hospital. She was born September 18, 1932 near Holton, the daughter of Ira L. and Rosa Morris Hollenbeck.

Doris attended Holton schools and lived much of her life in Northeast Kansas. She had spent a few years in Texas helping her husband manage ranches. Doris had worked for the Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton, at a chicken ranch in Lansing, KS and spent many years providing daycare for children in Seneca, KS.

She had formerly been involved with the Southern Baptist Church in Texas.

Doris was married to Benjamin J. “B.J.” Hall on April 11, 1953 in Holton, KS. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin Travis Hall on December 10, 1999; her sisters, Alpharetta Dachenhausen, Ellen Bryan and Maxine Frazier; her brothers, Charles, James and Ralph Hollenbeck.

 Doris is survived by her son, Benjamin Dale Hall (Monessa) of Holton, KS; 2 grandsons, Quentin and Lucas Hall; 2 step-granddaughters, Casandra and Amanda Pixler and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will follow in Holton Cemetery. She will lie in state beginning Saturday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Monday evening.
