Sharon Kay Wofford, 65, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at her home, on the Kickapoo Reservation. She was born on June 11, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Remell and Verda Wahwassuck Spencer. Sharon loved working with children, she worked as a cook for the Boys and Girls Club and was a daycare provider for many children. On June 13, 1973 she married Mike Wofford at the Indian Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe. Survivors include her husband, Mike Wofford; three sons, Richard Wofford of Tulsa, Oklahoma, John Wofford of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Chris Wofford of Horton, Kansas; four brothers, Larry Spencer of Berry Hill, Oklahoma, Remell Spencer of Mannford, Oklahoma, Kendall Spencer of Tulsa, Oklahoma and William Spencer of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Patty July of Tulsa, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael Wofford and a brother, Carl Spencer. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Kickapoo Community Building.
