Patricia Ann Simmonds, 69, of Falls City was born on October 17, 1950 in Falls City to Robert and Alma (Hey) Humm.  “Patty”, as she was known, was raised in Falls City and attended Sacred Heart School.  On June 3, 1969, Patty was united in marriage to Francis Simmonds in Hiawatha, Kansas.  To this union two children, Denise and Lance, were born. The couple later renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Falls City. Patty and Francis have lived and raised their family in Falls City all of their married life.  Patty was a dedicated wife and loving mother.  She was everyone’s best friend.

Patty passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at her home in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of sixty-nine years, nine months and twenty-nine days.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Betty Whitten, Sister Mary Alma Humm and Carol Marteny, brothers: Bob, John, Richard and Fred Humm, and a still born daughter Alma Simmonds.

Patty is survived by her husband Francis Simmonds of Falls City, daughter Denise and son Lance Simmonds both of Bellevue, NE; sisters: Katherine Cox and husband Monte of Papillion, NE; Margie Cook and husband Larry of Plattsmouth, NE; Mary Wenz and husband Leon of Falls City, brothers: James Humm of Dawson, NE; Charles Humm of Lincoln, NE; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

At Patty’s request, there will be no visitation or viewing held. 

A Private Family Inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at the Steele Cemetery in Falls City, Nebraska.

Memorials contributions may be given to the family with a later designation to be made.
