Mary Lou Coonce, 82, of Falls City, NE, passed away November 27, 2020 at Falls City. She was born January 19, 1938 at Falls City to William and Vera (duerfeldt) Haeffele.

She married Kenneth Coonce on June 12, 1955 at Falls City. He passed away August 23, 2015.

Mary Lou was raised at Rulo and graduated from Falls City High School in 1955. When married the couple lived many places due to her husband’s military service and when he retired from service they returned to Falls City where she worked for Elliott Realty and then helped her husband manage Falls City Lanes for 20 years, retiring in 2015. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Audrey Pedersen and her husband B. J. of Florida, Kendra Ballagh of Falls City, Edward and his wife Donna of Topeka, KS, Jill Sumpter and her husband Russell of Sultan, WA, sister, Barbara Funk of Clarinda, IA, ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Marvin and a sister, Wilma Dunbar.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating. Interment will be in Rulo Cemetery.

COVID 19 Funeral Guidelines will be implemented with limited spaced seating (25% occupancy), 6 feet of separation between household units and masks required.

Open visitation and viewing will begin Sunday afternoon at Dorr and Clark Funeral home from noon until 7:00 PM
