William Alan Roggenkamp, Jr., 54, of Sabetha, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Bill was born August 15, 1966 in Marysville, KS to William Roggenkamp, Sr. and Sharon (Wynn) Roggenkamp. He attended Sabetha schools and graduated with the class of 1984. He worked for MAC Equipment in Sabetha for three years and then sold insurance for the Knights of Columbus from 1992 to 2013. Bill then began his career with EMS, serving with Sabetha and Nemaha County.

Bill was united in marriage to Dolores Wichman on June 30, 1990 at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, KS.

His life of service extended beyond his work, reaching into his family and the community. He played an active role in all of his children’s activities, including youth groups and sports. Bill was always willing to help, whether it be acting as a leader with the Boy Scouts or helping coach children’s sports, including wrestling and baseball. He impacted many people, never wavering in his faith, and constantly acting as a model of fearlessness and integrity.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Roggenkamp on July 20, 2016.

Bill is survived by his father, William Roggenkamp, Sr. of Sabetha; his wife, Dolores Roggenkamp of Sabetha; his son, Edward Roggenkamp of Salina, KS; his twin daughters, Alison and Andrea Roggenkamp of Topeka, KS; his sister, Mary (Kevin) Hittle of Shawnee, KS; and his sister-in-law, Denise (Mark) Strathman of Goff, KS.

Bill will lie in state on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha, KS. The family will not be present.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha. Recitation of rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to service time at the church. Interment will be made at the Albany Cemetery.
