Helen Stutz Caplinger, wife of Robert D. Caplinger, retired Atchison Attorney, passed away peacefully December 16, 2020.  The Caplingers, former residents of the Effingham community were living in Parkville, MO with their favorite daughter at the time of her death.  Helen will be cremated and her ashes will be interned in the Monrovia Cemetery in a private ceremony

 Helen was the eldest daughter of William C. and Ella Mae (Cormode) Stutz of Effingham area and born August 25, 1929 in Atchison.  She attended Monrovia Grade School (aka Monrovia University) and Atchison County Community High School in Effingham, graduating in 1947. After graduation, she worked for a year at the Kansas Veterans Service in Topeka; attended Washburn University one year.

Helen is survived by Bob of the home, their children, Stephen W. Caplinger and Sharon (Dede) his wife of Monrovia, KS; Candra Janelle (Candi) Sweeney and Rob, her husband of Parkville, MO.; 4 Grandchildren, 8  Great Grandchildren.  Helen was predeceased by her parents, and her sister Jeanette Berry.
